Craxworthy: MaxFunCon ‘10
Okay, first off - I know. I know what you’re thinking. “Jenny. What in the hell makes you think that you can just post about shit that you like and that it means anything?”
I’ll tell you right now. It’s because I have a name that ends in -worth, and when you have a name that ends in -worth, you pretty much are obligated to add a Y to make it -worthy, and feed your own ego by declaring things worthy of you. Like on a weekly basis.
So, here’s the inaugural Craxworthy post.
The second annual MaxFunCon is going to be, as you can see above, May 7 through 9 at the Lake Arrowhead Conference Center in the lovely, terrifying San Bernardino Mountains. Part nerd party, part dance party, part drunken bacchanal, ALL AWESOME.
Okay, seriously, it’s mostly a nerd party.
HOWEVER, you will never experience a happier, smarter, more fun or completely awesome group of nerds in your LIFE, pals. I mean seriously, have a look. Nerds of all kinds, too - Internet nerds, broadcast nerds, comedy nerds, music nerds, fashion nerds, even a math nerd or two. I am not being hyperbolic in the least when I say I met some of the best people I know at MaxFunCon ‘09.
And you will never again experience the confluence of talent and knowledge there - this year, among others: Marc Maron, Andrew WK, Elephant Larry, Jonathan Coulton, and John Hodgman. The list is so much longer than that, but check out the utter quality just in the nine people I listed.
