Nintendo Wii to Add Netflix Service for Streaming Video (NYT)
The article is mostly about other consoles and about the Netflix service, and a little bit about the Wii.
Don’t get SUPER excited about this news - if you have an HDTV you’re going to be out of luck for HD video as the Wii can’t handle it. You can rock some streaming (while using a “software disc” that you have to get from Netflix) but it won’t be HD. Finally, my not buying an LCD is paying off in some minute form (what can I say, Philips makes a damn good television set and my regular standard TV still works perfectly).
Also, apparently this doesn’t go down until the spring. So keep your pants on.
