It’s a fitting last act
Last night, my iPhone cut itself off overnight. Again. It was working just fine when I went to bed, had a 50% charge, and when I woke up, it was turned off. It’s like it knows I’m dumping it today.
As much as I love my iPhone (maybe not this specific piece of hardware, just the concept of an iPhone) and my go go, too-expensive, well-designed iPhone lifestyle, I don’t like AT&T any more. Frankly, I don’t like ANY wireless carrier, they’re all ridiculous, but lately my texts haven’t been going through, my calls have been dropping more than ever, and reception has gone straight down the tubes. So, as weird as I feel about it, today I’m taking a stroll to pick up my HTC Evo and moving over to the Android side of the world.
And it feels REALLY weird.
BUT, if I don’t love it in the next 30 days, I can jump ship back to iOS4 just in time for the new hardware to be restocked. Win-win-win.
