My boss has NO FILTER AND IS RIDICULOUS
My job has an office in Cranford, NJ. On Monday my boss broke the news that I’d be heading up there with three people I am in no way fond of. It’s not like it’s a pleasure trip, so I got over that part pretty quickly. However, her lead-in to the whole thing was classic “time to go back to business classes.” The exact quote: “Hey Jenny, you have no family commitments. How do you feel about going to New jersey to…” and then some blah blah blah about my job and their office.
Because God knows the lady with no kids or husband at home obviously has nothing better to do. Ever.
And when you’re sending someone to New Jersey for ONE DAY (as in, take the train up there in the morning then take the train back in the afternoon OF THE SAME DAY), you may as well insult them while you’re in the process of “asking.” Everyone else in the department obviously can’t leave the state, as their world just MIGHT fall apart in their absence, their children injured and their spouses confused and hurt.
