I love to travel
I love to get out of Washington, and I love seeing people I don’t get to see on a regular basis. I love flying, I love hotels, I love putting on my “out of office” messages (any time I get to use the phrase “out of pocket” is a bonus, regardless of whether or not I’ll have access to wifi or voicemail).
The sick, sad truth of it all, though, is that what I love almost as much as any of those things is making the packing list. It doesn’t matter if I’m taking a week on my beloved North Carolina coast, a long weekend in Vegas, or a work related jaunt to a client site, one of the most joyous and gleefully torturous parts of traveling is deciding what I’m going to need to make it though my excursion in a manner befitting what I imagine the manner of myself to be.
I’m in the process of planning for two trips. I’m in HEAVEN.
